Located in Via Martiri della Liberazione, Palazzo Fumagalli is a significant example of Lombard civil architecture from the late 18th, early 19th century.

Originally a private residence, it is now public property and houses the administrative offices of the Municipality of Pozzuolo Martesana.

The building features the balanced forms and sober elegance of a typical noble residence of the period.

It is structured around an inner courtyard opening onto a large garden, now used on the occasion of cultural events.

Despite the lack of documentary evidence regarding its interior, the building certainly featured reception rooms decorated with fine materials and architectural solutions in line with the style of the period. The origins of the property are uncertain, as no cadastral or notarial records have been found to document either original ownership or later property transfers.

Palazzo Fumagalli is part of the Martesana’s cultural context, and has witnessed the area’s identity change from rural to residential.
